Qatar WC 2022

Qatar World Cup 2022

From November 21 to December 18 of the year 2022, a total of 32 countries will look for a new world champion at the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™.

Qatar has presented 64 training accommodations and as many hotels for the country teams to FIFA. In addition, there are 84,000 hotel rooms available in Qatar for the 2022 World Cup, while the minimum number of rooms according to FIFA is 60,000. The accommodation plan depends not only on the capacity of the two host cities but also on the progress of the construction work. Qatar wants to concentrate many accommodations in one area, putting exclusivity at risk for certain groups of football fans. The proposed FIFA headquarters in Qatar meets all the requirements.

Football fans can sleep in tents

Football fans of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar can stay overnight in tents. The organization of the football tournament decided this on September 27, 2016, after an investigation was announced earlier. Supporters are housed in Bedouin tents because there are too few hotel rooms and apartments available.

In this way, Qatar hopes to receive approximately 2,000 guests initially. Due to the 2022 World Cup, many sleeping places must become available in the small country quickly. Since the FIFA World Cup only lasts one month, there are no plans to build many hotels and apartments. By accommodating football fans in tents, these guests can get to know the host country in a whole new way.

The tent camp is set up on the border with Saudi Arabia, where different tents are set up in various price ranges. Given the image that Qatar wants to radiate, these will be very luxurious tents. Due to the extremely high temperatures in the summer, the 2022 World Cup will be held in the autumn. About half a million football fans are expected to come to Qatar during the 2022 World Cup.
